Kids Yoga

Karma Chameleon Yoga for Kids — come join the fun as we play, stretch, laugh and sing. Based on the techniques taught in Radiant Child Yoga and Karma Kids Yoga, we create a space for children to learn more about themselves and the world around them while strengthening their mind/body/spirit connection. Using yoga poses, imagination games, songs and related books, children will learn to tune into their own bodies and express their thoughts and emotions more clearly. Each class ends with relaxation where children quiet their minds and bodies to feel more peaceful inside and out.

Yoga and Art Parties

Yoga and Art birthday parties are a fun and healthy way to celebrate your child's special day. The parties can be based on a theme which is reflected in the music, poses and craft. Each party runs for 1.5 hours and includes a yoga class with special poses for the birthday child, followed by an art project chosen according to the child's age and interest. Possible themes are The Jungle, The Zoo, The Farm, Undersea Adventure, Beach Day, Zen Spa, or Groovy 70's. We will work with you to create the theme that fits your child best.

Kids Meditation

Meditation is a practice with a specific goal of stilling the mind or training the attention. It has been estimated that we think on average about 60,000 thoughts per day. Our thoughts often wander, jumping from topic to topic and causing agitation. To be able to train the mind to be still or to concentrate on a focused idea, image or word, can be a very useful skill in our hectic lives. Teaching meditation to children can benefit them in the following ways: physical relaxation, improved concentration, increased peace and tranquility, enhanced self-understanding, as well as improvements in creativity, mindfulness and memory. Part of each yoga class includes some meditation exercises, but we also offer meditation training by itself for groups or individuals. Call Cornelia for more information.
